Former Manchester City and Bayern Munich midfielder Owen Hargreaves believes only four clubs could challenge for Leroy Sane's signature if he leaves this summer.
The German winger has just over 12 months left to run on his current contract and is yet to pen fresh terms at the Etihad Stadium amid links to Bayern.
Sane has emerged as their top target this summer and they're keen to bring him back to Germany with his contract running down.
The 24-year-old was heavily linked with a move last summer but injured his knee in the Community Shield and is yet to play for City since then.
However, Hargreaves believes that only four clubs, including Bayern, could offer Sane the same proposal as Manchester City.
"Bayern is always on the agenda for any top German player as you compete for titles, leagues and Champions Leagues," Hargreaves told Goal.
"With Leroy Sane at Man City, if he leaves, there’s probably only four teams he would go to. Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus and Bayern Munich are the only ones who can offer something compared to what he has at City."
