Owen Hargreaves names the Manchester United player who 'scares' him

Owen Hargreaves has piled the praise on Manchester United's three summer signings after their impressive full debuts for the club.

Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka both shone defensively for United on the first day of the new Premier League season as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side defeated Chelsea 4-0 at Old Trafford.

Marcus Rashford netted a brace either side of a solitary strike from Anthony Martial, before summer signing Daniel James netted a dream goal on his debut.

After an impressive pre-season it was the perfect start to life in Manchester for the Welsh winger as he made an immediate impact just minutes into his first league appearance for the club.

Speaking after the win, Hargreaves praised the new summer arrivals, and in particular the 'scary' pace which James possesses.

“What a moment for the young man,” Hargreaves told Premier League Productions.

“Signing for Man United, everything that’s happened within his family, you could see what it meant to him with his celebration.

“Obviously he was very emotional, but that’s a massive moment for him.

“Off the bench his pace is scary.

“The two best players were [Harry] Maguire and [Aaron] Wan-Bissaka.

“Clean sheet, they didn’t have many of those last season.

“So I think for the fans that’s as good a start as you could have hoped for.

“I think going into the game, even Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would have been slightly worried about what place is Man United going to finish.

“That gets them off to a brilliant start.”
