Owen Farrell tests positive for Covid but may still play for England tomorrow

Owen Farrell has tested positive for Covid-19 ahead of England's match against Tonga on Saturday.

Farrell is reportedly the only member of the squad and staff whose PCR test has come back positive.

He had been due to captain the side from outside-half at Twickenham, with Marcus Smith on the bench.

The skipper is now in isolation, but has strangely not been ruled out by England yet.

The RFU say he will undergo further PCR and lateral flow testing today (Friday) and will miss this afternoon's captain's run.

A member of the England support staff tested positive earlier this week.

Meanwhile, Wales centre Willis Halaholo has returned to the Wales camp after his positive test last week. He missed the match against the All Blacks after being forced to isolate for 10 days.
