The MAGA-minded Republicans seldom make sense when speaking; however, every once in a while, you cannot help but be surprised by the utter garbage that comes out of their mouths.
United States Secretary of Health and Human Services and Donald Trump’s puppet, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., in a recent appearance on The Tucker Carlson Show, asked people to “stop trusting the experts.” Not only that, he even went so far as to claim that trusting such “experts” was “not a feature of science or democracy”, but of “religion” and “totalitarianism.” Yes, the same religion people like him have been trying to promote and, at times, push onto the people. And yes, the same experts he has been consulting for his Spasmodic dysphonia and other ailments for years.
As the video of RFK Jr., urging people to disown “experts”, started doing the rounds on social media, people could not help but troll him. The clip gained significant momentum on X (previously Twitter). One person, while highlighting a common trend among those appointed by President Donald Trump, noted:
“God forbid we would ever need a person who has a comprehensive and authoritative knowledge of or skill in a particular area… like drilling to remove your dental caries or clearing air space to land the plane you’re flying in. Why is overwhelming stupidity the hallmark of Trump appointees?”
Another person shared similar thoughts and exclaimed that the things Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was asking people to do were a sign of “totalitarianism.” He wrote:
“Telling us not to trust the people who have devoted their lives to science and to instead follow the incoherent medical advice of unelected political officials is actually the feature of totalitarianism.”
“And he’s a supposed expert.. so, what he means to say is, “don’t trust me or listen to a thing I say…, ” said one person while highlighting the confusing nature of RFK Jr’s comments.
As discussions surrounding RFK Jr.’s comments increase by the hour, one cannot help but feel hopeless over the current state of affairs in the US under the Trump administration. If people in positions of power, such as him, make such callous comments, then where exactly is the country headed?
