Freja, the newest DPS hero added to Overwatch 2 Stadium, is an expert bounty hunter who hunts down prey with dangerous crossbow shots. In this game mode, you’ll unlock and purchase items and powers that modify how Freja is played, turning her into a highly mobile assassin.
Here’s everything you need to know about the best build for Freja in Stadium.
Best Freja build in Overwatch 2 Stadium

In regular games of Overwatch 2, Freja is a DPS hero who sticks enemies with Take Aim, an ability that launches exploding crossbow shots. Take Aim is considered weapon damage in Stadium, so don’t worry about building other stats like Ability Power. While using this build, your main focus should be landing Take Aim shots to deal massive damage to squishy enemies.
Powers
Here are the four best Freja powers you can unlock in Stadium:
Power | Description |
![]() Seekerpoint |
When Take Aim bolts stick into an enemy, automatically fire three additional crossbow shots at them. Each of these additional shots deals 66 percent reduced damage. |
![]() Seismic Shot |
Take Aim’s explosion radius is increased by 33 percent. If you stick a Take Aim bolt into an enemy, the explosion radius is doubled to 66 percent. |
![]() Cyclone |
After using Updraft, automatically fire a Take Aim bolt at your crosshair. This will not consume Take Aim’s ammo counter. |
![]() Redux |
Basic Attack hits against enemies struck by Take Aim’s bolt or Bola Shot reduce the cooldown of you’re abilities by five percent and refund one ammo per shot. |
This table is organized in power priority, meaning you should focus on unlocking Seekerpoint first and move down the list. Seekerpoint is the perfect first power for Freja, because it allows your crossbow to automatically damage enemies after you land a Take Aim attack.
You can increase your AOE damage by unlocking Seismic Shot next, but make sure to land Take Aim shots. Cyclone will take your damage even further by automatically firing a free Take Aim shot whenever you activate Updraft, synergizing with your the first two powers.
If you happen to make it to the final round, then unlock Redux to increase your cooldown reduction. Remember, all of your powers activate only after you hit enemies with Take Aim shots.
Items

While playing Freja, you should focus solely on purchasing items that increase your character’s weapon damage.
During a Stadium game’s early and middle stages, you’ll have to save up your cash to afford expensive purple-tier items. In the meantime, you can purchase green and blue weapon damage items such as Compensator, Plasma Converter, and Technoleech. Once you have enough money, sell these items to buy better options.
Here are the six best endgame items for Freja in Stadium:
Item | Stats | Effect |
![]() Portable Zipline |
+15 percent Weapon Power | Eliminations reset both charges of Quick Dash’s cooldown. |
![]() Slipstream Scarf |
+25 Health +5 percent Weapon Power +25 percent Quick Dash distance |
N/A |
![]() Hardlight Accelerator |
+10 percent Weapon Power +10 percent Cooldown Reduction |
When you use an ability, gain 5 percent Weapon Power for three seconds. This stacks up to three times. |
![]() Eye of the Spider |
+25 percent Weapon Power | Deal 10 percent increased damage to enemies with less than 30 percent of their maximum health. |
![]() Talon Modification Module |
+15 percent Weapon Power | N/A |
![]() Codebreaker |
+15 percent Weapon Power | Your attacks ignore 50 percent of armor’s damage reduction. |
Since the majority of Freja’s damage scales with weapon damage, focus on purchasing items that will boost this stat. Portable Zipline is Freja’s most important item, because you can use it to dash into the backline, take out a squishy support, and refund your movement abilities for an easy escape.
Slipstream Scarf is another great item that increases survivability and the range of your Quick Dashes. Items that solely increase weapon damage boost Freja’s lethality, so unlock both Talon Modification Module and Eye of the Spider.
Finally, Hardlight Accelerator provides some nice cooldown reduction for your dashes, and Codebreaker can help pick off pesky tanks with too much armor.
