Overnight break-in at Nottingham city centre shop

Police were called to an overnight break-in at a shop in Nottingham city centre.

A window was smashed at Zara, High Street, and its alarm sensors were triggered.

A picture taken from the scene shows a door to the shop entrance boarded up.

The alarm company informed Nottinghamshire Police at 4.36am on Sunday (August 30).

Explaining what happened, a spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said: "They (the culprits) have gone in there, there's bottles and things on the floor.

"It's not clear what they were looking for."

There have been no arrests in connection with the incident and no cordons set up.
