Overhead wire damage leads to Glasgow low level train delays

Several Glasgow train services have been delayed as a result of damage to overhead wires.

ScotRail have confirmed that that all services via Glasgow Central Low Level are being disrupted following reports of damage to the overhead wires near Exhibition Centre station.

ScotRail said: "We’re getting reports of damage to the overhead wires near Exhibition Centre station in Glasgow. All services via Glasgow Central Low Level are being disrupted. Use services via Glasgow Queen Street Low Level if it’s an option for you."

Network Rail confirmed that engineers were on route to repair the issue.

A statement from Network Rail reads: "We have overhead line engineers on their way to Exhibition Centre in Glasgow. There have been reports of damage to the overhead wires there which we need to assess. @ScotRail services via Glasgow Central Low Level are being disrupted."
