'Overdue' - Tottenham fans react after Son Heung-min is taken off injured against Arsenal

Tottenham Hotspur supporters have been reacting to seeing Son Heung-min limp off early into their north London derby clash with Arsenal.

The South Korea international pulled up in the 18th minute after trying to get on the end of a loose ball.

Alan Smith, who was on co-commentary duty for Sky Sports, spotted it straight away and said this on Son: "Oh, he's pulled up there. He's feeling his hamstring, that's not a good sign. He's played so much football, Son, so much."

Son tried to remain on his feet to get to grips with what just happened but his facial expression said it all and Jose Mourinho knew that the forward was unable to play on.

Before Sunday's derby, only Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (2430) had played more Premier League minutes in the Spurs squad than Son (2343).

Erik Lamela replaced his team-mate and made things a bit less painful for Spurs fans later on in the first-half when he scored a fantastic goal via a sensational 'rabona' strike past Bernd Leno.

However, despite the jubilation after taking the lead at the Emirates Stadium, Spurs fans were clearly devastated to see Son leave the field the way he did.

So far this season, Son has scored 13 goals in the Premier League and the front three of himself, Gareth Bale and Harry Kane has really excited Spurs fans in recent games.

However, Son is now set for a spell on the sidelines and if it is indeed a hamstring problem, then the South Korean could miss a large chunk of the remainder of the campaign.

It looks like he'll almost definitely be missing for Spurs' Europa League second-leg tie with Dinamo Zagreb next Thursday, but that is a game he may have been rested for anyway given Mourinho's side's 2-0 advantage.
