Overcome your fears by holding a tarantula, snake and other creepy crawlies at Nottingham event

Do you have a phobia of spiders, snakes and other creepy crawlies? A Nottingham charity is challenging anyone who comes out in a cold sweat at just the sight of them to face their fears by holding the critters.

Brave fundraisers will have the chance to hold a tarantula, snake, cockroach, frog and more at an event hosted by Maggie's Nottingham, in the grounds of the City Hospital, on Saturday July 6.

Registration is £10 and participants are asked to raise a minimum of £80 to help people with cancer and their families, who receive free emotional and practical support at the Nottingham centre - the green tree house building, close to Gate 3, off Hucknall Road.

The event will take place from 11am to noon. Register here.
