'Over-reliant' - the Nottingham Forest prediction fans will want to see

Nottingham Forest have a chance to bounce straight back from Sunday’s defeat to Wigan Athletic on Wednesday night.

The Reds’ unbeaten Championship run was ended at the DW Stadium when Jamal Lowe’s first-half strike secured a 1-0 victory for Wigan.

That Forest run stretched back to the opening day of the 2019-20 season for Sabri Lamouchi, when West Bromwich Albion left the City Ground with a 2-1 win.

Forest have an immediate opportunity to get back to winning ways, though, as they welcome struggling Hull City to the City Ground on Wednesday.

Hull have lost their last two games and sit four points above the relegation zone.

Former Forest midfielder and Sky Sports pundit David Prutton is backing Lamouchi’s men to get their promotion push back on track at the expense of Grant McCann’s side.

And Prutton has explained why he expects the Reds to prove too strong for Hull.

“Nottingham Forest weren't great at Wigan on Sunday as they fell to their first defeat since the opening day of the season, and they will want to bounce back quickly,” said Prutton.

“Hull have shown promise at times this season but they still look over-reliant on Jarrod Bowen or Kamil Grosicki providing a moment of magic for them to win a game. Forest should bounce back here.”

David Prutton predicts: 2-1
