
Rescuers in Albania are digging into rubble through the night, looking for survivors feared trapped in buildings brought down by a powerful earthquake.
The magnitude 6.4 quake struck in the early hours of the morning and caused the most damage in the capital Tirana, and cities in the north and west.
Albania’s government has declared a national day of mourning for the many earthquake victims.
