Over 70% Lucknow University students skip offline classes

LUCKNOW: Lucknow University began classes for the new academic session 2021-22 for BCom, management and fine arts courses on Thursday. The first day of the offline classes for the firstyear students witnessed low attendance with only 20-30% of students turning up for the classes.

Those who turned up shared that they were happy to attend offline classes.

“In the final year of the school days, our classes were mostly held online due to the Covid-19 pandemic. I am happy that finally at the University we will have regular offline classes,” said BCom first-year student Avni Malhotra.

LU spokesperson Durgesh Srivastava said, “We have begun the undergraduate classes of 10 courses including BCom, vocational, fine arts and management while that of BA and BSc will begin once the admission process is over.”
