A teen has been reported for Breach of the Peace after a large scale disturbance at a bus station in Cumnock.
Video footage of the scene shared on social media shows a large group of teens shouting and swearing at the station on Tower Street in Cumnock.
One local man estimated that the group was around 60 teens and questioned why they were allowed to gather in such large numbers under coronavirus restrictions.
He said some were urinating in the street before many started screaming and running from the scene.
Police were called and one 15-year-old was reported to the Scottish Children's Reporter Administration.
The local man, who captured the footage, said: “There must have been around 60+between the station and the square.
“Not in the video are three young lassies squatting down pissing against a wall.
“It’s the worst I've seen yet. Why do families let teenagers out of site when the danger of the virus is so close to their children?
“Its just plain hard to believe crazy.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.50pm on Friday 2 October 2020, police were called to a report of a large group of youths gathered near to the bus station at Tower Street, Cumnock. Officers attended and appropriate action was taken.
“One fixed penalty notice was issued and a 15 year old boy will be reported to the Scottish Children's Reporter Administration (Section 38 Breach of the Peace).”
