Over 530 pupils in Perth and Kinross schools and nurseries are having to self-isolate after the number of COVID cases more than doubled in a week.
A further 43 staff are also confined to their homes.
It comes after at least 41 positive tests among pupils in the region - up from 19 the previous week.
The self-isolating figure is a rise from 330 pupils and 33 employees the previous week.
At Robert Douglas Memorial in Scone, 80 pupils are at home after eight children tested positive for the virus. Three staff members also returned positive tests, with six staff in total in isolation.
Letham Primary School has seen six pupils return a positive test and at least one staff member. Fifty-four pupils and eight staff are in self-isolation as a result.
At Tulloch Primary 61 pupils and three staff are isolating after three pupils and at least one staff member tested positive, while at Viewlands Primary 30 children are absent after four positive tests among pupils and at least one among teachers.
Perth Grammar School has seen three pupils and at least one member of staff test positive with 48 pupils now having to self-isolate.
Three pupils have also tested positive at Blairgowrie High School with 32 students self-isolating as a result.
Other establishments with self-isolating pupils after positive tests are: Corner House Nursery (58 pupils and nine staff); Humpty Dumpty Nursery (16 pupils and four staff); Inch View Primary (16 pupils and four staff); Kettins Primary School (17 pupils and at least one staff member); Kinnoull Primary School (45 pupils and at least one staff member); Little Scallywags Nursery (19 pupils and at least one staff member); Newhill Primary School (22 pupils and at least one staff member).
Cases have also been recorded at Invergowrie Primary, Methven Primary, Perth Academy and St John’s RC Academy but no other pupils or staff have been identified as close contacts.
