Over 500 people diagnosed with coronavirus discharged from Leeds hospitals

More than 500 coronavirus patients have been discharged from Leeds Hospitals.

Leeds Teaching Hospitals announced yesterday over 515 patients diagnosed with Covid-19 have been discharged from their hospitals.

On a post the Trust shared on social media they state “it’s important that we take the opportunity to celebrate positive moments” as they celebrated the patients who are now continuing their recovery at home with their loved ones.

They said: “We are delighted that, as of today, over 515 patients who had been diagnosed with COVID-19 have been discharged from Leeds Teaching Hospitals.

“It is so important that we take the opportunity to celebrate these positive moments and recognise the input that our fantastic teams have had on these patients and their families.

“Thanks to this care and dedication, 515 people are now able to be back with their loved ones and continue their recovery.”

Today 174 people have been added to the coronavirus death toll in England, which now stands at 24,913. But in Leeds, no new deaths were recorded in Leeds hospitals in the last day - according to the latest NHS figures.
