Over 200 jobs could be lost at tech firm Oracle's Dublin offices

Over 200 people could lose their jobs at technology firm Oracle's Dublin offices.

The US firm is cutting a staggering 1,300 jobs across Europe, staff were told at a meeting on Wednesday afternoon.

The job losses come as part of a wider restructuring effort, Today FM reports.

There are currently 1,500 people employed at Oracle's Dublin offices in Eastpoint.

A spokesperson for Oracle said: "As our cloud business grows, we will continually balance our resources and restructure our teams to help ensure we have the right people delivering the best cloud products to our customers around the world."

While the final number of job cuts are not known, it's thought to be up to 200.
