Over 200 high schoolers play in first Dolphins Flag Football League

The Miami Dolphins may have approximately a month before they find themselves back on the practice field, but that doesn’t mean the team’s facilities aren’t getting plenty of use!

The Miami Dolphins hosted over 200 high school players in their first ever Dolphins Flag Football League. This isn’t the first time the Dolphins have had flag football at the facility this offseason, either. The Dolphins rookies helped to host Special Olympic athletes back in May for a flag football tournament of their own.

But the Dolphins have the makings of something formal here, as they’ve teased the event as their inaugural event. We’ll be seeing this again next summer — and why not? The Dolphins’ have continued to ramp up their efforts to stay active in the South Florida community. Putting their practice facilities to good use in a time of year where there’s effectively no use for it at all is a practical way to continue those efforts.
