CHANDIGARH/MOHALI: Over 2,300 persons got free booster dosage in the past three days in Chandigarh and 429 in Mohali. The campaign, which started on July 15, will end on September 75, said health officials. Special workplace vaccination camps are being organised at big office complexes (public and private), industrial establishments, railway stations and inter-state bus stations in Chandigarh during the campaign.
UT health department has made arrangements for free vaccination at seven permanent designated major health facilities of PGIMER, GMCH-32, GMSH-16, CH-45, CH-22, CH-Manimajra and HWC-42.
In UT Chandigarh, free precaution dose for people 18 years and above started from July 15, 2022.
On Monday, special vaccination camps will be organised at the premises of Chandigarh Housing Board in Sector 9, UT Guest House in Sector 6, Shiv Mandir, Sector 43-A and Government School, Sector 49-D, said director, health services (DHS) Dr Suman.
On Tuesday, special vaccination camp for precaution dose is being organised at Press Club in Sector 27-B, Chandigarh, she said.
The DHS said that any organisation, whether government or private, religious or social, commercial or charitable, market associations or RWAs may contact Dr Manjit Singh, district immunisation officer on his mobile No- 9463488086 to organise special vaccination camp. However, there should be at least 50 beneficiaries.
In view of the rise in Covid cases, Dharampal, adviser to the administrator urged citizens to get their precaution dose without delay. He also emphasised on early Covid vaccination of children between 12 year and 18 years of age. In Mohali, district immunisation officer Dr Girish Dogra said that in the past three days, 429 persons have been administered booster dosage.
