Recent Israeli strikes in Gaza have led to a devastating death toll, with more than 100 individuals losing their lives, as reported by the Gaza Civil Defense. Among the casualties are at least 27 children, highlighting the tragic impact of the ongoing conflict.

Following the announcement of a ceasefire and hostage release deal between Israel and Hamas, the situation in Gaza has escalated. Despite the agreement, which is pending approval from the Israeli cabinet, the region has witnessed relentless bombardment, causing further loss of life.

Reports from local emergency crews detail the harrowing scenes of destruction, with more than 20 people killed in overnight attacks on buildings serving as shelters in Gaza. The Civil Defense confirmed that these attacks included the shelling of a family home in Al-Jarn, resulting in the deaths of nine individuals.

The Israeli military has been contacted for further information regarding the attacks in Gaza, particularly those that occurred early Friday. The situation remains tense as Israel's security cabinet is set to convene to discuss the ceasefire and hostage release deal. A broader cabinet vote to approve the agreement is expected to take place on Saturday.
