Over 100 firefighters tackled a fire at a shop on an east London high street.
Twenty fire engines and around 125 firefighters rushed to High Street North in East Ham to try and stop the blaze.
The London Fire Brigade (LFB) explained that half of a mid-terraced shop, with dwellings above, caught fire at around 7pm on Thursday.
In an update at 9.45pm on Thursday, the LFB said that half of the ground floor of the building and a small part of the first floor remained alight.
The fire was under control by 11.57pm and is now under investigation.
Firefighters asked people to avoid the area if they can.
A 32-metre turntable ladder was used at the scene to help fight the fire from above, the LFB added.

Station Commander Darren McTernan, who attended the scene, said: “Crews worked hard to bring this fire under control.
"Firefighters will remain on scene for several hours damping down hotspots.
"During this time, High Street North will remain closed.”
Crews from East Ham, Plaistow, Stratford and surrounding fire stations rushed to the scene after the fire broke out and the LFB received 12 calls about the fire.
