Over 1 lakh women register on Disha app at mega event

KAKINADA: Around 1.15 lakh women got themselves registered on Disha app during a mega registration programme at Annavaram village in Kakinada district.

District SP M Ravindranath Babu said the objective of the app is to provide speedy justice to women. "They should download the app and get themselves registered.

Women should also download Track My Travel SOS app when they are travelling alone. In Vizag, 1.35 lakh women downloaded the app, while Anakapalli cops helped 46,500 women download the app. In Vizianagaram, 41,372 women downloaded the app. The app has been downloaded by 5 lakh women so far, of which 1.70 lakh have registered.
