Pensioners, carers and 1.4million others will get early bonanza cost of living cash bonuses next Monday when the Halloween double welfare payments are paid out by the Government.
This is earlier than expected, with initial plans to process the payments in time for Halloween week, or the first week of November.
Instead, Social Protection Minister, Heather Humphreys, and Public Expenditure Minister, Michael McGrath, will unveil the full schedule of Budget bonus payments today, including dates for fuel allowances boosts and double childrens’ allowance payments.

It will also be announced today that parents of 1.2million children will get the promised double childrens’ allowance bonus payments on November 1st.
The double weekly welfare payments coming next week are the first of two, with another raft to be unleashed a couple of weeks before Christmas.
The Christmas bonus will be paid in the week beginning December 5th.
The double pension will see a pensioner get €500 next week, or €1,000 for a couple for the week, with the same double whammy coming theirs and all other welfare recipients’ way in December.
The timely boost comes as the nights begin to draw in and get colder, with the poorer and more vulnerable facing ever increasing energy bills in the weeks and months ahead.
