A new sports hub featuring 4G football pitches, a soft play centre and climbing walls among other attractions is set to open this year.
Activity for All said the centre, at Arrowe Commercial Park near Upton in Wirral, will open in two phases in November and December.
Three 4G pitches will be available by mid-November, with the rest of the centre opening in the following month.
At the site, customers will have access to a health and wellbeing room, a high ropes course and a healthy cafe, in addition to the aforementioned facilities such as a soft play area.
Activity for All was hoping to have the centre open this summer, but like many things this was put back due to the pandemic.
However, thanks to its relentless work, the company will be able to deliver the centre it describes as the only one of its kind in the North West by the end of the year.

Activity for All was founded in 2004 as a Merseyside-based community interest organisation with the sole objective of increasing physical activity across all age groups.
At the end of last year, they ran activities for over 10,000 children and adults every week across Merseyside, working closely with over 300 schools and 150 businesses, as well as NHS trusts, colleges and other community groups.
The company is now running a competition with local primary schools to design its new logo and the names and slogans of different areas within the centre.
The chosen designs will be revealed at the centre where the winning pupils will see their ideas on full display.
Mike Smethurst, director of Activity for All, said: “It has been a challenging year for everyone, but this hasn’t stopped us developing what is going to be an outstanding sports centre hub for all the community.
“We have been meticulous in designing the centre so there is something for everyone and now we can’t wait for it to open.”
