'Outstanding' Rangers star Ryan Kent is best in Scotland insists SPFL pundit

Tam McManus insists Ryan Kent is the best player in Scotland after another sensational showing against Aberdeen.

The winger opened the scoring with a shot from distance and grabbed an assist as he set up Scott Arfield for the third goal in the 4-0 win at Ibrox.

It wasn't just the goal and assist as he caused problems for Aberdeen all day long and dragged the visiting side's defence all over the place.

Kent started the season on fire and had a few games in recent weeks where he wasn't quite at the same level for Rangers, but looked back to his best as Steven Gerrard's men moved 11 points clear.

And McManus insists there's not a player on the same level as him, and holding on to him in the summer was key in firing the club up for their title battle.

He told PLZ Soccer: “Ryan Kent was outstanding.

“His goal was brilliant. I think he’s the best player in Scotland, I think he’s, without doubt, the best player in Scotland, at the minute.

“A key player for Rangers, I look at not selling him in the window, I think that was great from Rangers point of view – that really sent the message out.”
