Outstanding £1 million EuroMillions ticket bought in Nottingham is finally claimed

An outstanding EuroMillions ticket which was purchased in Nottingham has finally been claimed.

The ticket was worth a staggering £1 million, but the UK millionaire maker prize was left unclaimed following the draw on July 12 this year.

Camelot UK Lotteries Limited, which runs the National Lottery, announced that the winner had come forward but had chosen to remain anonymous.

The lucky winner only had until January 8, 2020 to scoop the life-changing prize money and they managed to make a claim just in time.

Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, added: "We're delighted that the winner of this amazing prize has now come forward and we hope that they will enjoy their win.

"It would have been awful if the ticket-holder had missed out on this life-changing amount of money.

"We would like to remind all National Lottery players to check their tickets every time they play."
