Outrageous ads on Daft.ie include a shed for €1,100 a month, shared bed for €550 and €625 bunk beds

As the Irish housing crisis worsen, properties are being advertised at outrageous prices online.

Shocking figures revealed there are only 2,700 homes to rent available across Ireland- the lowest since records began.

Renters nationwide now pay a record average of €1,366 a month, an 8.3% increase on last year according to the quarterly rental report by Daft.ie.

Here are some of the most outrageous adverts on the rental website.

The bed appears to be in the living room and the listing says that there is no access to the kitchen.

Not only that but this lacklustre room is only available from Monday to Friday.

The description adds: “Perfect for a student or someone who is in Dublin during the week.

Shed in Wicklow for €1,100 pm 

A shed has been listed as “ideally suited to single occupancy” for €1,100 and €1,250 for two people.

The description reads: “Brand new log cabin style studio apartment. Built to the highest spec well insulated. Decorated and finished to luxury standard. Separate entrance.”

The description states a maximum tenancy of five months and that internet is not included.

One of the most alarming ads is for a shared bed - for €550 per month!

A description says the tenant will share a double bed with one young male, with three people sharing the apartment altogether.

However, there are a few things included in the rent including Netflix, internet and ”access to all the common areas of the apartment”...a real bargain!
