Outraged The Chase viewers brand show 'a fix' as Anne Hegerty faces simple question

Angry fans of The Chase have voiced their fury over a simple question faced by 'The Governess' Anne Hegerty.

The professional quizzer faced contestants Owen, Irene, Marie and James, on Thursday night's episode of the ITV show, which is hosted by Bradley Walsh.

After some awkward questions, just Owen and James made it through to the Final Chase and were playing for £11,000.

The pair managed a total of 15, answering questions on topics ranging from boxing to the Spanish Civil War.

But fans were furious when Anne faced a simple maths question, CornwallLive reports.

One took to Twitter to say: "#TheChase is such a fix! One of the cleverest woman in the world #AnneHegerty gets the question 'what is half of 30' really."

Another wrote: "#TheChase Contestants questions: What soldiers shot the last bullet in a 15 second war between my cats cousins owner and his brother?

"Chasers question: What's half of 30."

A third added: "Half of 30 ffs, what a question #TheChase."

Another said: "Did the chaser actually just get asked "What's half of thirty?"??? #TheChase."

A following fan wrote: "What is half of 30?" Really? FIX!! #THECHASE."

Viewers also complained that the contestant answered his last question in the Final Chase within the time limit, however Bradley Walsh declared the answer didn't count as he was too late.

Unfortunately the contestants were caught by Anne, who answered 15 questions with 14 seconds left on the clock.
