Outraged Niall Horan fans go viral by slamming RTE, Dustin the Turkey and Ray D'Arcy

A Niall Horan fan page went viral after slamming RTE, Dustin the Turkey and Ray D'Arcy following the Mullinger singer's performance for Comic Relief.

The former One Direction star sent a clip of him singing to RTE to use as part of the charity TV show last Friday night.

The show saw Ray D'Arcy, Zig, Zag and Dustin the Turkey reunite for a special reunion sketch of The Den.

They played the video of Horan singing from his London apartment, with Dustin joking towards the end of it: "We wanted Harry Styles. You're only getting a minute and a half."

The Irish singer's fans from across the pond did not see the funny side of it and slammed Dustin for being "disrespectful" towards the 26-year-old hitmaker.

Twitter page Niall Updates shared a 10 second snippet of the skit - which has been viewed more than 1.2million times.

Their post said: "What they did to Niall was extremely disrespectful and rude.

"He didn’t have to sing for them either and interrupting him saying they wanted Harry instead is so uncalled for.

"Harry would not singing for your crusty asses anyways!"

Niall Updates added that it was "gross" and called on RTE to show respect to Niall Horan.

Another angry fan replied: "Someone hold me before I go and punch them straight up in the face."

But the Irish were quick to explain the situation and told disgruntled social media users to "cop on".

One said: "You do realize this from a sketch from a charity TV special we had in Ireland?

"That PUPPET is Dustin and a very famous cultural icon over here, Niall was very much in on the sketch and like everyone who watched it live he most likely found it funny. Cop on."

A second user quipped: "Niall Horan will never be as talented as Dustin the Turkey and you just can't stand it."
