Outrage as Man City players filmed singing about Liverpool fans being 'battered in the streets'

Man City players were slammed for singing a tasteless song about Liverpool fans on their flight home from Brighton.

Several members of the first team squad are among those seen singing lines about fans being "battered in the streets" and being "victims of it all".

The song also makes reference to Vincent Kompany "injuring" Liverpool star Mo Salah.

Football fans have furiously taken to social media to slam the players and the club for the vile song and their unprofessional behaviour.

In the video, which has now went viral on social media , players can be heard singing: "All the way to Kiev, to end up in defeat,

"Crying in the stands, and battered on the streets.

"Kompany injured Salah, victims of it all."

The Premier League winners flew back to Manchester on Sunday evening after winning the league, which is when the video was believed to have been taken.

Manchester City refused to comment about the video but promotional pictures, put out by the club on Monday, showed the players drinking and celebrating their win on the plane.

Ederson Moraes and Raheem Sterling were photographed posing on the jet with the Premier League trophy.
