But that didn't stop this blonde mother who wore a strapless white fishtail gown to her soon-to-be daughter-in-law's big day.
The mum posed up for pictures with the bridesmaids and could easily have been mistaken for the bride herself.

Images were shared of her on the That’s It, I’m Wedding Shaming Facebook group , and showed the bride wearing a remarkably similar gown herself.
Other Facebook users reacted with outrage at the dress choice of the mother of the groom.
