Sam Heughan has revealed that he has been cast in a new movie alongside Celine Dion and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
The Scots actor has been named on the cast sheet for the new romantic drama 'Text For You' which is based on Sofie Cramer’s novel of the same name.
The Outlander star took to Instagram to share his exciting news.
He wrote: "So excited to be joining this incredible cast!! “Text for you” movie written and directed by the brilliant Jim Strouse."
And his on-screen wife in Outlander Caitrona Balfe was quick to congratulate her TV husband. She wrote: "CELINE and Priyanka .... simmer down now!! Congratulations!!!!!!!"
While Lauren Lyle who plays his on-screen daughter Marsali also commented: "CELINE".
And one fan wrote: "Wow!! That’s awesome. Congratulations."
In 2016, a German version of the film was also released called SMS Fur Dich and proved to be extremely popular.
According to Deadline, the story is about a woman who tragically loses her fiancé, in a bid to deal with her gried, she continues to send romantic texts to his old mobile number only to realise his number has been reassigned.
Turns out, man on the other end of the number is also going through heart break.

Back in the Summer, Sam Heughan was also confirmed for another Rom Com movie called Mr Malcolm's List.
The Scots actor will be joining Crazy Rich Asians star Constance Wu in the cast of period romantic comedy movie based on the novel by Suzanne Allain.
The film is about a wealthy young woman called Julia (Wu) who is knocked back by Mr Malcolm after she fails to meet one of the items on his list of requirements for a bride, she ropes in her friend Selina (Pinto) to help her take revenge on him.
But Selina hesitates to get involved with Julia's cunning scheme soon after she meets the bachelor herself.
Sam tweeted about the news saying he couldn't wait to be part of the cast, he said: "So excited about this! What a cast!"
And while fans are pleased for Sam's new roles, they are still eager for the sixth season of Outlander to be filmed, as it was put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.
