"More to uncover before we’re certain but that would be mind blowing!! @Outlander_STARZ #Outlander."

Fans flocked to the comments to share their interest in Colin's new discovery.

One user wrote: "Holy moly! That’s amazing. So curious to learn more! One of my ancestors was there fighting on the government side."

Another commented: "Wonderful, be warned it's totally addictive. I'm descended from King Malcolm III and St Margaret of Scotland. What started as a little hobby has resulted in a family tree of over 5000 & still growing. It's totally rewarding to uncover your history."

A third said: "How amazing! Maybe it’s a sign that you were fated to play Ulysses!?!? Please keep us posted!"

Since a return to Fraser's Ridge is unlikely for Ulysess, fans of Colin will be able to see him back on screens on Dodger set to air in 2022.
