The latest Starz trailer sees the actors' characters Jamie and Claire Fraser settling into their new life on Fraser's Ridge in the US following the end of series four.
But it's not long before their peace is shattered by the start of the American revolution as Jamie is forced into hunting Scottish regulators who oppose British taxation.
There's plenty of dramatic moments and battles for fans to fill their boots on as Scottish heartthrob Heughan gets stuck into the bloody conflict.
And of course, there are the obligatory shots of Sam topless in a river.
Sharing the trailer on his Instagram account, the 39-year-old said: "Season 5 Trailer is finally here!"
And fans couldn't get enough of the sneak peak, in particular the return of the dashing Scot in various uniforms.

It's been a long time coming for Outlander die-hards Outlander with season four finishing in January last year.
But get your diaries out because the latest instalment airs in just over a month’s time, with the first episode arriving on Sunday February 16.
