It's good news for Outlander fans with the 'Droughtlander' almost over following an official release date for the seventh, and final, season.
Taking to social media to tell fans of the hit show about the news, the official Instagram account revealed that the finale will air this year - but not all of it.
Despite the good news - the announcement left fans with a mixed bag of emotions with the first half set to air this year and the second half set to air next year.

So when can you expect the episodes to air? Here is what you need to know
Outlander season 7 - when will it air?
Outlander Season 7 will officially premiere June 16, 2023. This falls on a Friday making it the perfect night to unwind with your favourite snack and settle down to watch Jamie, Claire and the rest of the Outlander gang.
However this will only be the first half that you'll see this summer with the second half, made up of eight episodes each, will air in 2024.
No official release date has been announced yet for the last eight episodes.

There will be a total of 16 episodes. Each 'half' will have eight episodes.
