Outlander's Sam Heughan trolls Men in Kilts pal Graham McTavish with look-a-like stone carving

Sam Heughan has left his fans in stitches of laughter as he poked fun at his Men In Kilts co-star Graham McTavish.

The duo traveled around Scotland for the adventure travel show to showcase our great nation.

Sam and Graham are best known for their hilarious banter together and the cheeky chaps took their special brand of humour over to Instagram.

Last night, Sam posted a picture next to a stone carving and compared it to Graham.

In the post, he wrote: "Just a pic of me and Graham. @meninkiltsstarz "

And Graham simply replied with a shocked face emoji.

But fans couldn't get enough of the comedy gags between the two.

One wrote: "Sam! What have you done to Graham!?!"

Another added: "Looking good Sam...who’s the miserable bloke on the right?"

One said: "The resemblance is uncanny."

While another added: "That is too funny!"

Men in Kilts was inspired by the pair's desire to create a podcast exploring Scotland, the programme has already had an accompanying book release of Clanlands, which is a Sunday Times Best Seller.

Released as an eight-episode series, shot last year in between filming for Outlander, it's described as a "love letter" to the country and will see Sam and Graham speak with Scottish historians, musicians, food producers and crafts people, as they discover all the things that make fans of shows like Outlander fall in love with this incredible wee country.

The trailer shows the pair travelling in a motor home, riding a tandem bike, dancing a Highland fling, tossing a caber, and even leading a pipe band through Edinburgh.

Serving as the ideal escape from Droughtlander, both Sam and Graham, who play Jamie Fraser and Dougal MacKenzie in Outlander, filmed in places like the East Neuk of Fife, Glenelg and Eilean Donan Castle.

When speaking about the show previously, Graham described himself as the "history guy" and Sam the "outdoors guy", explaining that as well as being great friends, he felt they make a "really interesting combination".

Sam has since joked that the show is all about him putting Graham in funny and frightening situations.

Graham added: "Meeting characters you couldn’t make up. Having experiences I’ll never forget (nor will my therapist) and stretching our poor livers to the limit!

"It’s about us, it’s about Outlander, it’s about history but most importantly it’s about Scotland."

Although it's not yet available in the UK, fans are hoping it isn't long before we can see the pair explore their roots.
