Outlander star Sam Heughan sent Caitriona Balfe a cheeky birthday message, joking she turned 50.
Caitriona, who announced she'd given birth to a baby boy just last month, actually turned 42 yesterday, but that didn't stop Sam teasing her with his little message.
He wrote: “Happy Birthday Caitriona Balfe!!!" in his stories accompanying alongside an image of them both behind the scenes of Outlander.
And scribbled subtly over the image was the naughty phrase 'Fab at Fifty'
Sam wasn't the only one to appreciate Caitriona on her big day as fans congratulated her online.
The official Outladner account wrote “Happy birthday, @caitrionambalfe! Thank you for bringing so much sunshine into all of our lives. #Outlander.
Caitriona also received a lovely message from fellow actor Susan Sarandon who turned 75 on the same day.
Thelma and Louise star Susan wrote: "Happy Birthday, birthday twin. Hope you are enjoying yours as much as I’m enjoying mine. Blessings."
She also received a present of a forest from a collection of fans who donated over 55,000 trees last year for her birthday.
She now has around 80,000 planted under her name.
Poject CaiTREEna wrote: "HAPPY BIRTHDAY @caitrionambalfe!! We are thrilled to add 22,661 trees to the grand running total of #ProjectCaiTREEna birthday trees.
"Thanks to your inspiration, there are now over 77,000 new trees in the world! We appreciate you!!"
They admitted they had now reached over 25,000 more trees today.
Sam and Caitriona will of course soon be together on screen again for the premiere of the sixth season of the story and, also, the beginning of the filming of the seventh.
