Outlander fan creates incredible crochet dolls of Jamie and Claire – and you can get the patterns yourself

An Outlander fan has gone to new lengths with their creations in honour of the show.

A Chilean artist named Melisa ( @que_se_teje_ on Instagram) has shared her incredible crochet dolls inspired by the show online.

The Amigurumi expert (the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small, stuffed yarn creatures) has created a Jamie Fraser doll, complete with sword and kilt, and a Claire Fraser one with a tartan dress and those famous gloves.

Both of the dolls are brilliant and ideal for any fan – best of all Melisa sells the designs on Etsy so people can make their own versions.

She also sells designs for previous dolls she has done, including Frozen characters, Emma and Mr Darcy and Alice in Wonderland.

Posting on Instagram, she wrote: "Here working on Jamie. I’m super happy with the result of this Outlander’s designs and even more happy to see how much you did like it too."

Stating that it was difficult to nail the period costumes, she was particularly pleased by how Jamie turned out, she added: "The most loved Scottish man, Jamie Fraser.

"I enjoyed so much to make him, the outfit has a lot of details and I made my own research to try to emulate the historical version of it."

One fan wrote: "They are so lovely. The details are perfect!"

Speaking about her Claire doll design, Melisa said: "Here a powerful woman. Something I really like about Outlander is how brave Claire is, she is always in the middle of the chaos and however, she finds a way to fix the problem."

Fans were delighted with one responding: "Oh she’s so beautiful! I love the way made her dress!"

While another added: "She's so adorable!"
