Outlander creator delights fans as she confirms ninth book has now been written

The ninth book in the Outlander series has now been written, delighting fans.

Author Diana Gabaldon confirmed she had completed the ninth book and said it would soon be published.

Eager fans were delighted by the news as the author shared the news on Twitter.

"YES! BEES is FINISHED!!," she wrote.

I AM SO EXCITED! Congratulations Diana! Thank you for all your hard work and love poured into your books. Each one is so beautiful and we are blessed to read them! I hope you have a good long rest now," one fan wrote.

Gabaldon explained she did not know when it would be published, with the date decided by the author's publisher.

The next installment of the series will be titled Go Tell The Bees That I Am Gone.

It comes after it was confirmed a seventh season of the TV series, which is set in Scotland, would go ahead.

Sam Heughan and his fellow cast members recently returned to complete filming for season six after Covid halted production.

Actor Heughan recently shared his delight at being honoured by his 'favourite place in Edinburgh' after cash was raised in his name.

And he recently revealed how his mum copes with the racy scenes in the show, telling a TV show that she actually just avoids them completely.
