Cliff-hangers and unanswered questions in the first season of the hit Netflix series, Outer Banks, left fans intrigued and anticipating the show’s return since it first aired in April 2020.
The mystery drama is set on the fringes of the North Carolina coast and follows a tight group of teens on a quest to find out the fate of protagonist John B’s missing father and the fabled treasure he found.
It has now returned for a second series, picking up from the nail-biting season finale which saw John B and Sarah leave for the Bahamas in search of answers.

Chase Stokes returns to his breakout role as Outer Banks leading man, John B, where he is lucky (or unlucky) enough to be working alongside his real-life partner Madelyn Cline.

As the other half of #Chaselyn or #Jarah, there was no way Madelyn Cline wouldn’t be coming back to her starring role as Sarah Cameron.
Drew Starkey (Rafe)
The Love, Simon and The Hate U Give actor, Drew Starkey will continue in his role as aggressive bad boy and brother of Sarah, Rafe Cameron.
Charles Esten (Ward Cameron)
Charles Esten returns as Ward Cameron, Sarah’s father and the show’s main antagonist. Season 2 sees Ward’s obsession with the Royal Merchant mystery drive him to new levels of desperation.
Carlicia Grant (Cleo)
Roots actress, Carlicia Grant, will be stepping into the role of new character Cleo who according to the character profile is 'Confident and fearless… a Nassau girl, a formidable artful dodger whose world collides with the Pogues'.
Elizabeth Mitchell (Limbrey)
Another new character to look out for is Limbrey, ‘a compelling woman with a level of toxicity and menace underneath her seemingly courteous ways’. She is played by Once Upon a Time star Elizabeth Mitchell.
