How many times have you struggled to attach your boat to a dock after a day on the water?
Clyde Holscher, a longtime guide from Topeka, Kan., had seen it happen many times.
That's what got him to brainstorming about a device that would make the process easier. That's how he came up with Boatstix, a new product that eases the docking problems.
Boatstix consist of 30 inches of PVC with a heavy-duty rope running through it. One loop attaches to the cleat on the dock, the other attaches to the boat. The PVC keeps the boat from getting too close to the dock and is especially helpful when a boater has to deal with a heavy wind or strong current.
The Boatstix are being sold through the website www.Boatstix.com. A set of two sell for $39.95 or $44.95, depending on their length.
