Outdoor swimming special

There is a certain sort of person whose response to freezing cold weather and, better still, a bit of snow is to go outside, strip almost naked and hurl themselves into water. I am not one of those people. Even so, to demonstrate that (like the Mayor) I embrace this great city's teeming diversity, let me draw your attention to tomorrow's winter swim at Brockwell Lido, the lack of same at Charlton Lido and the goosebumped existence of fellow Hackneyite Graeme Archer who seems never to be out of London Fields Lido and surely won't miss the chance to repeat his extreme behaviour of earlier this year. I wish him well, but won't be seeing him there. Have a warm, dry weekend.
