Outdoor attendances in stadiums will increase to 75 percent in welcome news for sports clubs around the stadium.
With the exception of trial events, outdoor events have been capped in recent weeks.
But now there will be more returns for fans with some 75 percent allowed to return.
Indoor attendances will also available at 60 percent capacity.
The attendance increase will come in from 6 September and is for those that are vaccinated.
Indoor sports is also set to return with the Taoiseach announcing indoor activities can resume on 20th September.
All restrictions are set to be lifted on 22 October as Ireland enters the final leg of coronavirus restrictions.
The news will come as a welcome boost to sports fans and sports players with their indoor sports reinstated.
