ACT police have renewed their appeal to help find a missing teenager who has not been seen for almost a week.
Lynda Costello, 18, was last seen on Sunday morning in Downer, heading on foot towards Dickson.
Detective acting superintendent Mark Rowswell said there were no indications of foul play in Lynda's disappearance, but concerns were held over her welfare.
"It's out of character for her not to contact her family for this long," Detective Acting Superintendent Rowswell said.
"She's a vulnerable person and that's why we're making this appeal.
"If Lynda has heard this message, we urge her to contact police and go to the nearest police station to say she's OK. She's not in any trouble at all."
ACT police say they're looking at a number of inquiries into Lynda's disappearance and have spoken with Lynda's family in Canberra as well as friends.
Detective Acting Superintendent Rowswell said Lynda's family was deeply concerned over her disappearance.
"As you can imagine, if you have a missing person, you have a lot of unknowns and we want her back safe," he said.
"There are no concerns for her medical welfare."
Police said Lynda was travelling from Downer to Dickson on Sunday morning, but don't know why she made the journey.
Lynda has been described as Caucasian, about 165 centimetres tall, with blonde hair and a medium build.
