Ousmane Dembele continued his knack of scoring on the big stage when called upon when he struck the opener in Barcelona's draw with Tottenham on Tuesday.
The 21-year-old has only scored 13 goals for Barca but several of those have been important strikes in the league, the Spanish Super Cup and the Champions League.
Dembele, who joined Barcelona in August 2017, suffered injury problems in his first year and this season has been criticised for his behaviour, including turning up late to training and events.
Reports have linked the 21-year-old with a move away from the Camp Nou during January transfer window, but Barca are adamant they have no intention of selling despite concerns over his attitude.
However, the club’s general manager Pep Segura did meet with the representative of Dembele last month and admitted the youngster is struggling to adapt to Barca’s style of play.
Standard Sport understands the World Cup winner is not now among the top transfer targets for Liverpool, but Dembele has been linked with a move to Unai Emery's Arsenal.
“If you have information from the English press, ask the English press!” Segura said in November. “If you have information from Liverpool, ask Liverpool! There has been nothing (no offers) for Dembele and we have no desire to change the structure of the squad.”
