Ousmane Dembele injury: Barcelona star out for two weeks, club confirm

The 21-year-old opened the scoring in the Liga game at Camp Nou, but fell awkwardly in the second half and limped off after 69 minutes.

Barca revealed in a statement following the game that the Frenchman would undergo tests today and following those examinations today, the club has revealed that the winger will be out for around two weeks.

“The tests carried out on first-team player Ousmane Dembele have confirmed that he has a sprain in his left ankle,” Barca said on their website.

“The approximate time out is 15 days.”

Dembele will therefore miss the Copa del Rey quarter-final first leg away to Sevilla on Wednesday, plus the Liga game away to Girona on Sunday.

He is also likely to be out for the cup return at home to Sevilla next week, but could be back for the league match against Valencia at Camp Nou on February 2nd.
