Ousmane Dembele injury: Barcelona forward in tears after latest setback vs former club Dortmund

Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele went off in tears in the first half of his side’s Champions League clash at home to Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night.

The French forward look to hurt himself as he jumped in a challenge with a Dortmund player and was disconsolate as he awaited treatment in the BVB area.

He removed both boots and was sat down on the turf as a buggy came on, but he was able to walk off the pitch with assistance and was replaced by Antoine Griezmann after 26 minutes.

Barca tweeted an update mid-game which read: "[Dembele] has a right thigh injury.

"He will undergo testing to determine the exact extent of the injury."

The 22-year-old's reaction indicates he may be out for some time, suffering his ninth injury at Barcelona.

The scores were level as Dembele went off, but Barca scored twice in quick succession after his exit to lead 2-0 at half-time.
