Our Yorkshire Farm's Clive Owen 'fed up' as he and Amanda struggle in harsh summer snow

Our Yorkshire Farm ’s Clive Owen admitted that he was well and truly ‘fed up’ of the harsh British weather in Tuesday night’s instalement of the Channel 5 show.

The famous farmer couldn’t quite believe his eyes as a complete ‘white out’ struck his Yorkshire farm in the beginning of May – when the weather is usually expected to reach high temperatures.

Instead, Clive and his wife Amanda, 47, were forced to head out to the fields to feed their sheep an emergency supply of food due to the fact the grass was completely covered in snow in the first weeks of summer.

The lovebirds were seen racing to feed the hungry animals in the blizzard as they shared their disbelief at how bad the weather had got.

And as the weather went from bad to worse on Ravenseat Farm, Clive and Amanda ensured that they did all they could to help their hungry and cold sheep.

“I can’t believe that this is the beginning of May,” Amanda insisted.

“It’s just like the middle of winter. Basically, we’re going around feeding everything, making sure that all the animals have places of shelter, but it’s really, really, horrible.

“This is like, proper, proper, snow.”

Elsewhere, Clive insisted that he was ‘fed up’ of the harsh and bitter weather as he scrambled to take care of his beloved animals in the sub-zero temperatures.

“We’re having to provide the majority of the nutrition for the mothers for the sheep in order so they can produce milk because there isn’t a bite of grass to be had.

“Shelter is not easily found. Feeding the sheep in this weather is hard because it’s all soiled quickly – we put in down on the wet soggy ground and they are not eating as well as they should,” Clive complained.

“So, everything is against us. It just makes it twice as hard for them and twice as hard for us.

“And we’re getting very fed up now. We need some normality back.”

Amanda went on: “We’re approaching the end of lambing season now. This is not supposed to be a complete white out.”

As one of the most remote farms in the country, Amanda and Clive’s work comes with its challenges – with the white out being one of the hardest to work through in recent years.

Our Yorkshire Farm continues tonight at 9PM on Channel 5.
