Our Yorkshire Farm's Clive Owen decides to quit Channel 5 spin-off with son Reuben

Amanda Owen's husband Clive has confirmed that he has quit the Channel 5 Our Yorkshire Farm spin-off he does with son Reuben. Clive, who split from Amanda last year, shares nine kids with his former wife.

Reuben, their son, became a breakout star of the docuseries and landed his own show with his dad following the Owen's split. But, according to BirminghamLive, Clive has now told ITV Lorraine he has quit - and said Reuben is "on his own".

Speaking to Christine Lampard, Channel 5 star Clive said he won't be doing any more Beyond The Yorkshire Farm. "We've done this thing with Reuben, it's been great fun working with him. Cos he's crazy too, so we've had a grand time doing it," he said on Lorraine.

"I think I'm stepping back from that now. I think he's gonna go on on his own. Because he doesn't want me on his hands. So, I have no plans to do anything in particular, but you never know, someone might be daft enough to ask me."

It came as Amanda landed a More4 series with Channel 4, Farming Lives. "We filmed Our Yorkshire Farm, people loved it and it was an opportunity to make something as a family. That was what drove her. It was amazing and very successful but I handled it very badly," Clive shared.

"It was such a change in our lives and I sadly made a right mess of things basically. I had a massive part to play in the relationship ending. A massive part to play. I was ranting and raving and drinking and carrying on. I don't know – jealousy."

Clive and Amanda announced their sad split last year and the dad addressed the circumstances behind the marriage breakdown during a painfully raw and honest chat with Christine on Thursday's Lorraine episode on ITV 1.
