Amanda Owen left her husband Clive speechless when she revealed that she had made a sneaky purchase behind his back.
The 46-year-old star of Our Yorkshire Farm was wanting a bull to mate with their cows and she was determined to come back from the auction with what she wanted, unbeknownst to Clive, 66.
They had headed to the sales, which was about two hours away from Ravenseat Farm base, with the idea of coming home with a reasonably priced addition to their cattle stock.
The couple took Miles and Edith, out of their nine children and Clive had a certain criteria for the cow that he wanted for the farm.

The Yorkshire shepherdess had other ideas though and when a large red-coloured bull came up, she was determined that this was the animal they needed.
Clive was not so keen, branding it a waste of money.
Amanda said: "We’ve kind of got a lot of cows and heifers and we kind of need a boy cow - because you know how that works."
Clive insisted that he didn't want a "red bull" but Amanda insisted: "This bull comes into here, this massive red bull and you wouldn’t even bid on him?"
She continued: "Aren't you tempted?"
Clive replied sternly: "No, he's not doing it for me."
With the bull about to come into the ring, Clive urged that it was time to "go look around" as he told the children: "There's one coming in that's caught your mother's eye."

Amanda meanwhile entered a tense bidding war before the hammer came down and Amanda was declared top bidder.
A shellshocked Clive said: "You? No you didn't! You daft b**ger!"
A nervous Amanda asked Clive if he was "annoyed at her" with to which he was non-committal before Amanda declared: "I think we better go, we've done enough damage here."
The bull had cost them £3362.40.

Clive was philosophical in the end though, saying: "We got a cow today. I'm beginning to think she’s not just listing to everything I say," Clive said as they headed home.
"It is a lot of money, but good cattle, livestock is expensive and it’s a lovely thing and it’ll go home and become part of our herd.
“She’s a very clever woman, she has bought a good one."
