Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen hit by awkward technical blunder on This Morning

Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen was hit by an awkward technical issue during Wednesday's This Morning as she appeared for a pre recorded clip.

The screen suddenly went black while she was describing her toad in the hole recipe, with a stunned Phil Schofield and Holly Willoughby forced to fill the awkward silence.

Walking down the street, Amanda began: This week, I will be cooking an Owen family favourite, it's a classic toad in the hole, but with a veggie twist.

"And to make the batter and gravy, oh and the bread I will need for next week's dessert, I am after some flour.

"So don't tell anyone- " she continued, but suddenly the screen went totally black.

The shot then cut back to a mystified-looking Holly and Phil, who were open-mouthed.

"Oh no! What happened there?" Phil wondered.

"We’re never going to find out what the Yorkshire twist was!” replied Holly.

But luckily they were able to try again and the clip worked just fine.

"We got there in the end," said a relieved Holly.

Amanda recently responded to rumours Our Yorkshire Farm had suddenly been dropped from Channel 5, as the series' eighth episode vanished from scheduling after previously being teased.

Its usual 9pm slot on a Tuesday had been filled instead with the new Anne Boleyn drama.

One fan tweeted Amanda saying: ""Not impressed to hear that Channel 5 has dropped the show. #OurYorkshireFarm is the only show worth watching imho".

But Amanda replied: "They haven’t dropped it.

"We will be back with a new series later in the year."

Our Yorkshire Farm documents Amanda and husband Clive along with their nine children - Annas, Violet, Edith, Raven, Clemmy, Nancy, Reuben, Miles, and Sydney.

Ravenseat Farm is home 1,000 sheep, 40 cows, six dogs and four ponies and is where Amanda gave birth to six of their kids.

* This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10am
